“Men Ought Always to Pray!”

“Men Ought Always to Pray, and Not to Faint!” (Luke 18:1) So then, “Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.” (Luke 21:36)  John Bunyan reveals the wisdom of “praying always” by saying that, “You can do more than pray after you have prayed, but you cannot do more than pray until you have prayed. Pray often, for prayer is a shield to the soul, a sacrifice to God, and a scourge to Satan.”
